Motivation from Key Lime Pie

Last week, Jeff Greene baked a Key Lime Pie and delivered it to a Trader Joe’s employee named Tara. Jeff, a middle aged father of 4, delivered Tara a pie in response to her gesture a few days earlier when she bought Jeff a Key Lime Pie after he wondered aloud if it was good while shopping.

Tara was touched by the gesture and broke into tears when Jeff delivered the pie. Watch a video of Jeff’s home-made Key Lime Pie delivery here.

Whether or not you like Key Lime Pie, here are 3 ways to use Jeff and Tara’s pie exchange as motivation:

Treat people with kindness: Treating people with kindness returns kindness. Giving off a positive attitude surrounds yourself with positive attitudes. Just as Jeff baked Tara a pie after she bought one for him, treating others with kindness is the best way to receive kind gestures.

Sometimes the best thing to do is not in our job descriptions: Tara’s job at Trader Joes is to answer questions for customers, stock shelves and be a good co-worker. Her job didn’t require her to buy Jeff a pie. She went above and beyond and did it anyway. Similar to Tara’s kind gesture, we can all benefit from doing things that are outside of our job descriptions.

We have the power to make others feel special: Tara felt purely touched by Jeff’s gesture of baking her a home-made pie. While most people are capable of baking home-made goods for strangers, few actually do it. Similar to Jeff, we can all benefit from considering the power that our actions have to make others feel special.

Thank you to Tara and Jeff for being kind-hearted people. Let’s have a great week!

If you feel bloated or tired...try this

Dr. Gundry, a leading nutrition researcher, has made a surprising discovery that could be life-changing for middle-aged and older Americans.

He found an "anti-nutrient" widespread in American food that often causes digestive, energy, and weight problems, rather than just "age."

Fortunately, after working with thousands of patients, Dr. Gundry discovered one food that can block your body from absorbing this harmful compound.
