As we begin the last week of March, it is crazy that we are already 25% of the way through 2025.
3 months into the year, our daily routines can become monotonous. It can be easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and resolutions that we set for ourselves when we got back to work on January 1.
When that happens, reminding ourselves that we are a product of our daily actions can be helpful.
As football player JJ Watt has shared “Rent is due everyday.”
Paying our rent is more than just giving money to our landlords. In fact, most of us pay that monthly - not every day.
Paying rent means working hard. Not just when running, but life in general. Living a good life requires daily actions. When the actions stop, our good life stops.
In honor of JJ, lets pay our rent this week.
1. Habits can make daily rent payments automatic: Similar to Amazon’s subscribe and save, which automatically charges our credit cards and delivers products, our habits allow us to take action without thinking. This means that building the right habits puts the daily rent payments needed for our success on autopilot.
2. Reward yourself: Our minds are OK doing painful things if we know that a reward is coming. By offering ourselves small rewards, we allow ourselves to consistently complete the hard tasks required to pay our daily rent.
3. The world is constantly improving: Overall, a constantly improving world benefits everyone. However, a constantly improving world also means that everyone around us is always getting better. So if we are not improving ourselves, we are losing ground.
Thanks for reading. Lets pay our rent and have a great week!

A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week.
