Hundreds participate in Philly United ahead of Philadelphia Marathon weekend

Ahead of this weekend’s Philadelphia Marathon, hundreds of runners from more than 50 run clubs gathered last Sunday at Philly United, which has become the unofficial kickoff to Philadelphia Marathon Weekend. It’s a 3.1-mile run or a 1.5-mile walk down Walnut Street, from Center City to University City and back, that participants use to prepare for the marathon at their own pace. The event is organized by O.P.A.C., HOKA and Philadelphia Runner.
