Eat more plants to get protein
Protein has an impressive ability to keep us full, energized, strong and vital. So it’s no wonder that most people are actively trying to consume more protein.
Most Americans are fixated on the idea that it’s essential to eat meat, dairy products and eggs to get enough protein. In reality plant-based protein-rich foods like chickpeas, lentils, tofu, quinoa, bulgur, nuts and seeds can deliver surprising amounts of protein.
3 rules for trail running etiquette
Pass with courtesy: Don’t squeeze past hikers and fellow runners on a narrow switchback while blaring “On your left!” Trail passing should feel more like a polite conversation than a dominance display. A quick “Hi! Mind if I sneak by when there’s room?” goes a long way. And if the person doesn’t hear you because they’ve got headphones in, slow down and wait until it’s safe.
Yield to uphill traffic: An unspoken-but-sacred rule since uphill runners are working harder. Running downhill is easy (comparatively), so take the chance to say “have a nice day” and collect good trail vibes.
Stop where you are out of the way: The view is stunning. Or maybe your shoe is full of rocks. But stopping dead in the middle of a narrow trail is like parking your car in the middle of an off-ramp. People aren’t expecting you to be there and someone’s going to get awkwardly intimate with you. A simple tip: take 2 steps to the side before stopping.

Words To Run By 🏃♀️🏃🏽♂️
You can’t control what people say about you and what they think about you. You can’t plan for bad luck. You can only work your hardest and do your best and tell the truth. In the end, it’s the effort that matters. The rest is beyond your control.
