Jean running shorts
The origins of the unconventional running trend began on X earlier this month when Jake Woolf tweeted a photo of the shorts on the website. The tweet went viral, amassing over 80,000 views, and Satisfy sold out of their 5-inch inseam denim run shorts. The high-fashion running gear is listed for $220, making them an expensive pair of run shorts.
The shorts are not made of denim. Instead, they are 100% polyester and feature a digital print inspired by a classic pair of vintage Levi’s Orange Tab 517 jeans. If you want to turn heads and make a statement, run in jorts.
Social exercise enhances well-being
Exercise is often “me time” and performed in solitude. But there’s a case for incorporating socialization into your fitness routine. Moving with others could enhance your well-being and longevity. Depression and anxiety are correlated with isolation and loneliness, so working out with others provides a good buffer against those things.
Here are 5 reasons to practice community-based movement:
It increases accountability
It makes movement more enjoyable
It promotes learning
It creates a community and instills a sense of belonging
It improves interpersonal relationships and emotional well-being
If you have a competitive side, sign up for a rec sports league (tennis, badminton, and soccer have been linked with the greatest increases in life expectancies). You can also get creative by taking dance lessons, joining a dog-walking group, or participating in a local garden club. For the most part, people are really just wanting to support and cheer on each other.
Run with Blink 182 drummer
After his accident in 2008, more than 70% of Travis Barker’s body was burnt. He was told by doctors that he may never be able to walk or play drums again. Travis immediately had the urge to prove everyone wrong.
Starting with short walks that turned into short runs, Travis would feel a sense of calmness and a rush of dopamine every time he ran. He’s kept it up for years and continues to always start his day with it. He even runs 3 miles everyday before his shows when touring.
Recently, he ran his first half marathon and participated in a few 5k’s. He loved how everyone from all walks of life ran together and supported one another. The running community is massive and inspired Travis to create Run Travis Run as a way to bring like minded people together. The goal is to motivate people to get outside and run for a few hours to help make healthy decisions and create healthy habits.

Running gel to real food
Outside Online contributor Mallory Arnold replaced running gels with real food listed below. What were the results? Great runs with weird stares since very few runners chomp on whole sweet potatoes during water breaks.
