Run Camp Kenya
In today’s newsletter we are doing something different. You may know Letty from her weekly columns here, and the Marathon Running Podcast and LettyRuns YouTube Channel — both trusted sources for running news, training tips, and stories from the running community. Today, Letty is sharing something close to her heart: an invitation to join her for a once-in-a-lifetime running experience in Kenya.
The Day I First Ran in Kenya…
I still remember the first morning I ran in Iten, Kenya.
The sun was just peeking over the hills, painting the red earth gold. The air was thin and crisp, and every breath burned in my lungs, yet I felt more alive than I ever had.
Running with a local Kenyan pacer by my side, I wasn’t just running — I was part of something bigger: a rhythm, a community, a place where running is woven into every moment of life.
“It wasn’t just a running trip — it was life-changing.”
That day set the tone for my trip. I laughed more than I thought possible, learned from elite Kenyan athletes, explored villages, and visited local schools where children shared their love of running with such energy and joy it moved me to tears.
Every sunrise brought a new adventure: golden hills, crisp air, endless trails, and friendships that made every mile unforgettable.
✨ And now, I want to share it with you.
Run Camp Kenya – A 10-Day Transformational Experience
From Feb 16–25, 2026, I’ll be hosting Run Camp Kenya in Iten.
This isn’t just for elite athletes — it’s for every runner, at every pace. Whether it’s your first 5K or your tenth marathon, if you love to run and want to be inspired, this camp is for you.
Here’s what to expect:
✅ Up to two runs per day, guided by a personal pacer to match your pace and support you every step.
✅ Coaching sessions for all levels: fartlek, threshold, long runs, strength, and technique workshops.
✅ Full-board lodging & meals so you can focus on training, recovery, and adventure.
✅ Cultural immersion: meet elite runners, visit schools, and participate in meaningful community projects.
Why Iten?
At 2,400 meters (8,000 feet) above sea level, Iten is legendary for producing champions. But it’s more than the altitude. It’s the rolling hills at sunrise, the energy of the community, and the magic of running alongside people who live and breathe the sport.
Every run left me both exhausted and exhilarated. Every smile, every story shared at dinner reminded me why I fell in love with running in the first place.
Who Should Join?
This camp is for everyone.
Pace doesn’t matter.
Experience doesn’t matter.
What matters is curiosity, commitment, and the willingness to embrace an unforgettable journey.
With personal pacers for every runner, you’ll feel supported whether you’re chasing a PR or simply soaking in the trails.
