🏃‍♂️ Marathon News Worth Knowing

A major announcement is set to reshape the global running calendar.

The TCS London Marathon will expand into a two-day event in 2027, marking the biggest structural change in its history.

The London Marathon 2027 will take place on April 24–25, 2027, welcoming 100,000 runners across a Saturday and Sunday format for a one-off edition designed to meet record demand.

Organisers say the move will dramatically increase access following more than 1.3 million ballot entries for 2026, while also creating the largest fundraising moment in UK sport.

Elite and mass fields will be split across both days, with runners still taking on the iconic Greenwich-to-Westminster route — just on a completely new scale.
