How much of our lives is dictated by other people? You go to your job and your manager tells you what needs to get done. You go on a run and your run coach gives you pacing instructions. You workout and a fitness instructor tells you what to do, when to do it, how to do it, etc.

Remember though, you make the active decision to actually do it. And you’re never going to do it in the way others would. You do it in your own way. It is in this way that you can begin to recognize that you are your own teacher. You are constantly evolving through your own lens, through what you know to be true, what you know to feel right. No one can take that away from you. No one can dictate you in such a way that removes that.
For today, your decisions are yours. Even if you’re listening to directions coming from elsewhere, it’s up to you to follow it. It’s up to you to do it in your own way.
